Delilah Says I'm A Great Catch!
You will get to know more about me as this blog grows. I plan to be honest and transparent and it may sometimes be painful to write (or for you to read!) but it will also be fun to share these memories and you will smile and laugh as I share my life.
It has been eight months since my husband and I separated. The separation maybe should have happened years ago. However, officially it has been eight months and I recently started dating again. I'm not entirely sure what I am looking for, but I suppose that's the beauty of it because I don't have to know what I am looking for. I can just have fun on my journey and well, you find out pretty quickly what you are NOT looking for, so eventually I will be able to make a bit of a list of must have qualities for my potential new man!
I am open and honest with my girls and plan to keep them in the loop because I don't want them to be completely confused if I suddenly find a Prince Charming (hahaha. Yes I am laughing at that as well. I am not too sure if he exists outside the wonderful world of Walt Disney fairytales.) They have only known me to be with their Dad and while they are smart little ladies, I don't take for granted for one second that they will have questions if and when they see me with someone else.
Keeping the lines of communication open with my girls are just done with simple conversations. When they are stuck in a car with me driving somewhere is usually a good time to have a conversation because they are not able to walk away from me and they are kind of bored so more liable to chat! Car convos with kids are awesome. One of these recent car conversations made me giggle.
Delilah was telling me that any guy that I like would be lucky to date me and she proceeded to give me a list of key points that she thinks makes me a super good catch! These are 100% her words and not mine!
-You have a good personality
-You have a pretty face
-You're good at singing
-You can drive a car
-You can do the splits
-You're a good Mom
-You have a kind heart and are nice to people and funny
-If he likes wine, you always have a lot of it and you can drink it together in bed
So basically....a guy can have it all right here in this pretty faced, singing in the car driving package. The splits however, is definitely something I am not promising!
